Christmas Shoppers Still Going Strong

We’re now only two weeks away from Christmas, and as expected; area shopping centers are busy as ever.
The Empire Mall in Sioux Falls has seen a steady stream of shoppers in and out of stores who are either trying to catch up on their Christmas shopping, or just shopping for the fun of it.
“I’m almost done. I start in the summer and get mine done then, and pretty much by December, I’m done,” says Kathie Burmeister.
“It’s easy for her to get done because she has such good ideas,” says her mother, Shirlee Hall, “Now, I’m done but I started just at the end of November and I’m done also.”
Many stores have extended their hours to meet the needs of all those last minute shoppers out there.
