Two businesses failed a liquor sting Wednesday night in eastern Sioux Falls.
Police say clerks at both the Amoco Food Shop at 1200 E. 10th St. and the Franklin Food Mart at 711 N. Cliff Ave. sold alcohol to a minor. Clerks at both stores were issued a citation that carries a mandatory court appearance.
Officials say a total of 24 off-sale alcohol businesses were checked Wednesday night.
Businesses that sell alcohol to customers younger than 21 years old may face fines or the loss or suspension of the liquor or malt beverage licenses.
