Skyforce Come Back in Final Frame

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Dec. 14, 2012) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Austin Toros 115-105 Friday night to improve their league-best record to 6-1. Austin cut the deficit to four points in the fourth quarter after trailing by as many as 12 but Sioux Falls ended the game on a 6-0 run to pick up the victory.
Austin (4-3) led 16-8 midway through the first quarter but Mark Tyndale hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds to cut lead to 26-23. Sioux Falls outscored Austin 40-28 in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead (63-54) at halftime. Newly acquired center Hassan Whiteside had a big first half with 10 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
Sioux Falls pushed the lead to double digits (65-54) early in the third quarter but Austin battled back to take a 79-77 lead on a Tyler Wilkerson lay-up with 3:26 to go. Austin led 89-87 after three quarters but Sioux Falls went on a 20-6 run at the start of the fourth quarter and held off Austin to improve to 3-1 at home.
Andrew Goudelock led the Skyforce with a game-high 26 points. Demetris Nichols added 19 while Whiteside posted 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
Wilkerson posted a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jamarr Sanders recorded 21 points and seven rebounds while Justin Dentmon contributed 16 points and a game-high seven assists.
