Bob's Cafe in Sioux Falls had their doors open on Christmas, despite the holiday, and they weren't just flipping pancakes for their customers. They were raising money for a good cause.
From 7 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, the popular place on W. 12th Street hosted their annual 'Charity Breakfast'. Customers packed the small restaurant as they enjoyed heaping plates of eggs, sausage and pancakes.
The meals were free, but a free-will donation was asked in return. Knights of Columbus volunteers helped out in the kitchen for the event that raised money for Sioux Falls Catholic Youth Missions.
John Schulte of Knights of Columbus said, "The Knights of Columbus raise money for various organizations. We've done that at various places. This is our first year but this is Bob's second annual fundraiser."
The goal of the day was to raise at least $1,000 for the mission trips.
