Peever Man Arrested For Murder

A Peever man has been arrested and charged with first degree murder.

23-year-old Patrick Wayne Hopkins was arrested Monday night. Hopkins is accused in the stabbing death of Adam LaFramboise. Attorney General Marty Jackley says the charges stem from an incident that occured on January 4th at a home in Peever.

Agencies that assisted with the arrest were the Robert's County Sheriff's Office, Codington County Search and Rescue, Sisseton Wahpeton Police Department, Federal Bureau of Invesitgation and the Division of Criminal Investigation.

The penalty for first degree murder is either death or a mandatory life sentence.
