Strong Winter Storm Blanketing The Dakotas

Gusty winds, blowing snow and below freezing temperatures have blanketed western South Dakota.
Up to 6 inches of snow accumulated Friday in the Northern Black Hills alone.
Winter weather advisories remain in effect for most of western South Dakota on Saturday.
In North Dakota, wind chill advisories are in effect for western North Dakota while a blizzard warning covers the northeastern portion of the state.
Many schools and events were cancelled Friday in both Dakotas. TheMount Rushmore National Memorial also closed at 11 a.m. Friday and will have a two-hour late start Saturday, opening at 10 a.m.
