A Sioux Falls business near Tea was damaged by fire Sunday night.
Just before 5 p.m., fire crews were called to Sioux Falls Kitchen and Bath at 27063 Henry Place just off of Interstate-29 near exit 73.
When crews arrived on the scene, the building was engulfed in flames and smoke could be seen for several miles. A couple dozen firefighters from the Tea Volunteer Fire Department, Harrisburg Community Fire Department and Sioux Falls Fire Rescue battled the blaze.
Tea Fire Capt. Brett Miller says cold temperatures made fighting the fire difficult. Also, there were no fire hydrants nearby.
Capt. Miller said, "We had to tanker in water from a nearby hydrant, so that takes a little bit longer to get water to the scene."
No one was injured in the fire and Miller says he doesn't believe anyone was inside the building when the fire started. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Sioux Falls Kitchen and Bath released a statement saying as a result of the fire there was damage to a limited portion of the business. It said they don't anticipate any problems in providing product to their customers. The business will be up and running Monday morning.
