Missing Evidence Investigation In Flandreau

An investigation is underway in Flandreau involving missing evidence.
A press release sent to KDLT News from the city of Flandreau says on January 3, 2013, the Flandreau Police Department discovered that a breach in its evidence management had occurred when a routine inventory of old evidence revealed that some of the secured evidence was missing.
The investigation into this matter has been turned over to the South Dakota Department of Criminal Investigation, and additional policies and procedures are being put into place to safeguard all seized evidence held by the Flandreau Police Department.
