USD Online Grad. Business One of Nation's Best

Bookmark and Share

One of the nation’s top publications for honoring excellence in education has recognized the University of South Dakota’s online graduate business program as one of the nation’s best.

In its release of the 2013 Best Online Graduate Business Programs on Tuesday, U.S. News and World Report ranked USD’s Beacom School of Business No. 31 out of 197 business schools offering master’s degree programs online. USD topped online graduate business programs offered by Creighton University, the University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate School of Business and Hofstra University’s Zarb School of Business.

“It’s no secret that USD’s online M.B.A. is affordable and convenient for anyone seeking a high quality M.B.A. degree, but our graduate business program is also well-regarded by the business and academic community when it receives recognition like this from U.S. News and World Report and other publications praising our graduate business programs,” said Michael J. Keller, dean of the Beacom School of Business. “It’s a testament to our outstanding faculty that the online M.B.A. continues to develop leaders for business, government and industry.”

“Best Online Graduate Business Programs” criteria are based on several key factors, including student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, and faculty credentials and training. U.S. News and World Report surveyed more than 950 colleges and universities with business schools. Final rankings were determined from total scores collected from institutional survey responses to identify the best in categories such as online bachelor’s programs, and online graduate programs in business, education, engineering, nursing and information technology. These rankings are available online at www.usnews.com/education/online-education.
