A Sioux Falls man convicted of raping a young girl and making child pornography will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
A judge sentenced Sandor Czekus, who is 46-years-old, to 125 years in prison.
Czekus was found guilty last August of rape and creating child porn.
In October of 2010, a concerned parent went to the police with a hard drive containing disturbing images of a naked child. It showed the child being touched by an adult male.
Czekus owned the hard drive, and also had some of the images on his cell phone.
Minnehaha County Deputy State’s Attorney, Tom Hensley, says cases like this one are extremely sensitive.
Czekus’ attorney, Mark Kadi, objected to the judges ruling citing cruel and unusual punishment, and double jeopardy, which is punishing a person twice for the same offense. Kadi could file an appeal, but did not confirm he has any plans to do so.
