Fire At Happy Jacks Casino

At approximately 10:35 A.M. on January 25, 2013 Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to 1508 West 41st Street for the report of a structure fire. On scene, fire crews located several small fires in the duct work in the ceiling. Fire crews had to remove most of the ceiling tiles to gain access to the fire. Four fire trucks with 16 Firefighters were on scene to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no civilian or Firefighter injuries.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to remind everyone not to hesitate calling 911 when they see smoke or any signs of possible fire.
