SDSU Women See Mirror Image In UNO

The South Dakota State women's basketball team knows exactly what the University of Nebraska-Omaha team is going through.

Making the transition from Division Two, and playing their first season of Summit League basketball, the Mavericks are a surprising 14-5 overall and 4-3 in league play.

Because they are transitioning the Mavericks won't be able to participate in the Summit League Tournament or any postseason. 

SDSU went through the same thing when they transitioned to Division 1 in 2003.  The Jacks had to wait till 2009 to compete in the conference tournament for a bid to the NCAA Tournament. 

The Jacks tip at UNO on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM.
