The South Dakota Department of Transportation will close the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls at Exit 2 for about 15 minutes on Tuesday morning.
The Highway Patrol will set up barricades to stop and hold traffic both east and west of Exit 2 from 4:45 a.m. until 5 a.m. so Xcel Energy can remove two power lines for the city of Sioux Falls’ Yankton Trail sewer project.
Traffic will temporarily be stopped on I-229 while the work is under way.
