Mount Marty's Forsch among nation's leaders in 3's!

Bookmark and Share

Taylor Forsch, Mount Marty Senior: "My job is to shoot three pointers."

And Taylor Forsch excels at her job. The Mount Marty all-time three point leader averages more than three and half downtown baskets a game. But the senior didn't wake up and start swooshing the long ball.. like anything it's all about practice.

Taylor Forsch, "I practice for a long time like in high school I worked really hard and practiced 3's and my dad helps me keep my form in line."

Tom Schlimgen, MM WBB Coach: "She's just been an excelent shooter all the way through high school and all the way through college and most of it's been on her own through a lot of work."

Need a clutch shot? Forsch know's the ball's coming to her.

Schlimgen:"She may not be the first option but she's always the best option."

With one second on the shot clock.. Forsch found herself with the ball behind the arc...and sure enough she drained the three.. in a tough game against Dordt.

Taylor Forsch:"The GPAC, there's tough defense, people are good so I don't get many 3's so when I get them I try to get good form and knock them in."

Forsch has the second most 3 pointers and the second highest 3 point percentage in the NAIA division two.. while she doesn't try to pay to much attention to stats.. she still takes notice.

Taylor Forsch:"40 percent from the three point is great so if I'm shooting over fourty I know I'm doing good."

Schlimgen:"She's shooting over 50% from behind the 3 point line so that's dynamite in any league."

With Forcsh being such a force behind the arch.. opposing teams take notice.

Schlimgen:"Everbody sees stats and everbody hangs on to her and we've got to kind of special things to get her shots we work with her hard to try and relocate."

When Mt. Marty needs a three.. Taylor Forsch is on the court.. and bound to be open..
