Another Frigid Day...

Another day and another Arctic blast. The third truly Arctic shot of air this season and its by far the coldest with wind chills ridiculously low and the coldest day some of us have seen in over 4 years. The only bright spot of the day for many was that we actually saw some sunshine, which lead to scenes like the one on your left… caught by a KDLT reporter in Watertown early in the day. Going through a day like Thursday would almost be worth it if we actually set some records, but amazingly enough, we weren’t even close. Its that very reason that we should count our blessings because it could get even worse if conditions were right. With the onset of frostbite occurring in as little as 5 minutes, many would say we got cold enough. The few images below pretty much sum up what we had to endure on Thursday. |
