Dozens of people decked out in red, supported the cause to fight heart disease in women Friday night in Sioux Falls.
The event was held at Meso, a co-working office located in downtown Sioux Falls.
People in red did a warm-up, then hit to the streets of downtown for a walk and run around the block to raise awareness for the number one killer of women, heart disease and stroke.
"It's scary to see the statistics and know that a lot of your family members could be part of it. To see this it just opens my eyes and realizes we need to make a bigger awareness about this and really be supportive," said Patience Lunday, Miss Teen SD International.
After the walk and run, people socialized and drank hot cocoa.
