BRANDON, S.D. -- The top-ranked Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones have been dominating in Class A.
Last night against Sioux Falls Washington, the Cyclones showed they can play with the big boys too.
Clark-Willow Lake defeated Washington 53-49 at The Pentagon Classic in Brandon. The Cyclones won with a balanced effort as their star player, Skyler Flatten, managed just eight points.
"All they had to do was knock down open shots. Skyler has so much emphasis on him defensively that, if you're open, you've got to knock down those open shots, and Lane Hovde and Mitch Prouty knocked them down. Those kids really feel good about themselves right now like maybe we beat a lot more teams." Clark-Willow Lake Head Coach Jerome Nesheim said.
