All interstate highways in South Dakota are now open. I-29 from the South Dakota border to Fargo is also open.
The DOT would like to remind motorists that highways in central and eastern South Dakota are snow-packed, ice-covered and slippery. There are also areas of blowing and drifting snow and drivers are being asked to slow down and drive with extreme caution.
Clean-up work continues and travelers are reminded to give snowplows plenty of room to work.
