An Iowa man has been killed in a crash off a highway in northeast Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol identified the victim as 30-year-old Ray Quigley, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
The patrol says Quigley was driving south on Nebraska Highway 9 just before 8 p.m. Friday when his vehicle left the roadway near the Thurston Spur. The patrol says Quigley overcorrected. His car then ran into a ditch on the east side of the highway and struck a tree.
Patrol Capt. Paul Hattan says investigators suspect Quigley had been drinking.
