SF Police Looking For Stabbing Suspect

Police are looking for a man who stabbed another man at Mercato's store on West 11th Street in Sioux Falls.

Police were called to the emergency room around 9:45 p.m. Monday night where they found a 19 year-old with a stab wound to the stomach.

The victim says he was approached by a man at Mercato's who asked him for money. When he said he didn't have any, the man stabbed him and ran away.

The suspect is described as a hispanic male, 18 to 20 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has short, curly dark hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, tan pants and black shoes. He was carrying a black folding knife with a four inch black blade.

The victim has non life-threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the incident.
