Demetris Nichols is headed to Saturday's D-League Allstar game after the Skyforce dominated Iowa's Energy 96-79 at the SF Arena Tuesday night. The game was not even as close as the final score.
Every player for the Skyforce scored and they never trailed as they won their sixth straight home game.
Sioux Falls (19-12) got off to a good start and led 31-16 after one quarter. It was much of the same in the second quarter as the lead increased to as many as 26 points (48-22). Sioux Falls outshot Iowa 55 percent (23-of-42) to 31 percent (16-of-52) in the first half to take a 56-37 lead into the locker room.
Iowa (7-23) went on a 9-3 spurt to start the second half to cut the deficit to 13 points (59-46) but Sioux Falls regained control and led by as many as 27 points (85-58) in the final quarter.
Mustapha Farrakhan posted 15 points and five assists against his former team. Mark Tyndale and Damian Saunders added 15 and 14 points off the bench, respectively.
For the rest of the team it's a much-deserved break. They resume the season next Tuesday also against the Iowa Energy at the SF Arena.
