Taylor's Pantry Opens After Deadly SF Crash

Bookmark and Share

Taylor’s Pantry, a convenience store on the corner of 41st and Minnesota is now back open for business after Thursday’s deadly crash.

The store was shut down for several hours following the fatal accident.

The frightening crash took the life of one person and injured many.

"It was devastating to see. There were children in their cars, so hopefully everyone's all right and that's the best that we can hope for," said Boysen.

Heather Boysen, Owner of Taylor's Pantry was working inside the gas station, when she heard a big boom and then saw flames coming from the car that crashed in their lot.

"The car hit our parking lot and it was like a bomb went off," said Boysen.

Boysen immediately called 911 and turned off the gas pumps, with the hopes to prevent more flames from the fiery crash.

Her staff then rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and help people injured until medical personnel arrived.

"We had people coming from everywhere, going to the vehicles that had been involved in the accident, trying to help the people that were in the vehicles," said Boysen.

The car that crashed into the Taylor's Pantry parking lot, demolished the store's sign outside, then crashed into Boysen's car, before rolling a couple times, landing in their lot.

"I'm actually relieved because I had point out if my car had not been there, his car would have gone into 41st street and the damage could have been much much larger," said Boysen.

Boysen is now left to deal with the shock of what happened while at the same time thinking of the people involved in this deadly accident.

"I just want to extend a heartfelt, I hope you're all ok," said Boysen.

The store's outdoor sign will cost around $20,000.00 to replace.

The business opened its doors shortly after six p.m. Thursday.
