The victim in Thursday's fatal multi-vehicle crash in Sioux Falls had previously been convicted of fleeing officers in Minnesota.
Troy M. Hohn, who was 32, was sentenced in January 2004 to three years probation and fined $1,535 for the incident that happened in May 2003 in Olmsted County, Minnesota.
Police say Hohn was driving the vehicle that caused a 7-car crash near 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue around noon on Thursday. The crash killed Hohn and injured six others.
