Sioux Valley's Ben Miller of Northwestern is GPAC P-O-W

Northwestern guard Ben Miller is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week. Miller, a senior from Volga, South Dakota,helped lead fifth-ranked Northwestern to a 2-0 record last week.
He averaged 23.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and seven assists per game in wins over Dakota Wesleyan and Midland. Miller scored 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the Red Raiders 86-83 win at Dakota Wesleyan, a win that clinched the GPAC regular season title for Northwestern, and followed with a near triple-double performance in the win over Midland, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and nine assists. Miller hit a late go-ahead three-pointer and then clinched the win with a couple of free throws down the stretch.
Northwestern has won seven straight games and is the top seed in the upcoming GPAC Tournament that opens on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will host Dakota Wesleyan in an 8pm game in Orange City, Iowa.
