Former SD Legislator Dies

Former South Dakota legislator Elmer Diedtrich passed away on Tuesday in Williston, N.D.

Diedtrich was 85 years old.

He served from 1989-1992 and 1999-2000 in the South Dakota House of Representatives and from 2001-2002 in the state Senate.

Governor Daugaard has ordered flags at the State Capitol lowered to half-staff on Saturday.

Funeral services for Diedtrich will be at 11 a.m. (central time) on February 23 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.
