Snow Totals...

The major snowstorm to strike the central portions of the country has now concluded as it has weekend and moved east. In its wake, cities from New Mexico to Wisconsin are digging out from as much as 2 feet of snow. Much of our got sideswiped by the large swath of precipitation, but still managed to get up to 11 inches of snow in a couple areas in northern Nebraska and western Iowa. Most of those that did receive the snow saw anywhere from 2 to 8 inches. Amazing as it may sound, even after this pretty large amount of snow, many parts of the southeast are still 1 to 2 feet below average for the season… so more is needed. Below is a look at all of the snow totals from across the area. Also, an overhead view of the snow totals from across the central U.S. to show you just how expansive this snowstorm really was, as well as from just our area. |
