A 100-year-old theater in downtown Rapid City is going digital.
The Elks Theater is making the transition from a 35-millimeter film projection system to a more modern digital version that will significantly improve video quality.
Theater administrator Kriste Steinken says the growth downtown was a motivating factor for the upgrade.
The iconic theater is working to restoring the Elks to its original state from 1912.
The theater says it will not be increasing ticket prices to pay for the new system.
