SD Woman Dies In Two-Vehicle Accident

A South Dakota woman is dead following an accident near Bonesteel.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 52-year-old Elizabeth Koenig of Fairfax died in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on U.S. Highway 18.
The patrol say Koenig was driving west when her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck and trailer driven by 61-year-old Richard Trattles of Yankton, who was traveling in the opposite direction.
According to the patrol, Koenig was traveling behind a South Dakota Department of Transportation snowplow. After Trattles reached the plow, his vehicle crossed into the other lane and struck Koenig’s vehicle.
Koenig died at the scene. Trattles was not injured.
