FORT COLLINS, Colo -- Colton Iverson's best day wasn't enough to top one red-hot New Mexico Lobo.
The Yankton native scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Colorado State Rams. But Iverson was outdone by New Mexico's Kendall Williams' 46 points, including a Mountain West Conference record ten three point baskets, and the #16 Lobos beat Iverson's #21 Rams 91-82.
The victory snapped Colorado State's 27-game home win streak which, at the time, was third in the nation behind Syracuse (38) and a school from Iverson's home, South Dakota State (30).
Iverson's day included ten offensive rebounds but was difficult at the free throw line. Iverson went 6-11 from the stripe and missed several key free throws in the final moments.
CSU fell to 21-6 and 8-4 in the Mountain West. The Rams are in second place, two games behind the first place Lobos.
