Poster Scams Affect SD Businesses

Attorney General Marty Jackley and The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) are warning businesses of a new federal agency poster scam.

Companies will contact businesses and tell them they need to purchase labor law posters or face fines and other penalties. These posters are required to be posted however are available at no cost from the DLR.

Victims of poster scams are encouraged to contact the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at 1-800-300-1986 to file a complaint.
