An early morning accident involving a semi truck and trailer left cattle dead but no people injured near Luverne, Minnesota.
According to Minnesota Highway Patrol, around 4:30am on Wednesday a semi truck and trailer was traveling east on Interstate 90 near mile marker 8. The driver of the semi, 23 year-old Zachary Rozeboom of Hudson, says another vehicle cut the semi off forcing it to veer into the right side ditch and tip over. When the truck and trailer tipped over, the trailer opened and 25 of the 75 cattle escaped. The driver and a passenger, 28 year-old Guthrie Claus of Inwood, IA, were not hurt.
A van traveling down the interstate, driven by 44 year-old Gatachew Yadette of Sioux Falls, struck three of the cows however nobody in the van was injured.
