The father of one of two slain Iowa cousins has pleaded guilty to multiple drug charges.
Dan Morrissey pleaded guilty Friday to seven charges related to drug offenses. He was scheduled to stand trial Monday in Davenport on one of the drug charges.
Morrissey said in court that he was tired of fighting the cases.
Morrissey is the father of Lyric Cook, who disappeared while riding bikes with her cousin, Elizabeth Collins, in Evansdale in July. Their bodies were found in a wooded area in December, and no one has been charged or named as a suspect in the case.
Morrissey also faces charges of domestic abuse for allegedly attacking Lyric's mother.
