BACK-TO-BACK: Western Christian Repeats As 2A State Champion

DES MOINES, IA -- The Western Christian girl's basketball team is once again on top of 2A in Iowa.
The Wolves won their second consecutive state championship, beating Lawton-Bronson 75-58 at Wells Fargo Arena.
Though Western Christian never trailed and led by as many as 16 in the third quarter, Lawton-Bronson rallied and got to within six points several times. Brooke Wolterstorff answered nearly everytime, leading the Wolves with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Shae DeJager had 16 points, Kim Kroeze scored 12, and Alissa Pollema added ten.
