Summit League Women's Basketball Tournament Matchups

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The matchups for the Summit League Women's Basketball Tournament in Sioux Falls are set.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits, winners of the Summit League regular season title, will kick off the tournament festivities next Saturday at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Jacks have the top seed and play Oakland at noon. SDSU has four consecutive tournament titles, one for every year the tournament has been in Sioux Falls. The Jacks swept Oakland during the regular season, beating the Golden Grizzlies 64-43 in Rochester on January 10th and 83-48 on February 9th.
The South Dakota Coyotes will make their tournament debut against the rival North Dakota State Bison next Sunday at 2:30 PM. The Coyotes, in their first year of postseason eligibility, earned the number three seed in the tournament. USD and NDSU split their regular season meetings. The Coyotes won 73-52 in Fargo on January 3rd. The Bison returned the favor on February 2nd with a 57-50 win at the Dakota Dome.
