One Charged With Aggravated Assault In Mitchell Bar Fight

One man is charged with aggravated assault after a weekend bar fight in Mitchell, South Dakota.
According to the Mitchell Police Department, 42 year-old Todd Owen King was arrested Sunday on one count of aggravated assault after he pulled a knife and “aggressively approached” two men in a Mitchell bar. King had been escorted out of Big Dummy's Bar earlier and walked back in. He then started a verbal altercation with the men, placed a hand on one of them, and was hit. While the two men were walking away from King, he pulled a knife on them.
Aggravated assault is a Class 3 felony and can carry a sentence of up to 15 years in state prison and a $30,000 fine.
