	Red Cross Unveils New Tornado App by KDLT News March 04, 2013 6:42 PM It’s national severe weather week and the Red Cross is celebrating by offering a free app for smart phones and tablets. The app will notify you when a tornado is in your area. It also tracks the storm to show you where a tornado has been, and where it is likely to go. The Red Cross app also tests your knowledge with quizzes on tornado history and weather trivia. And as tornado season approaches for the upper Midwest people at the Red Cross feel this is a great tool to stay safe. The app also lets you know where the nearest Red Cross shelter is after a disaster.
