The girl's state high schools basketball tournaments started Thursday across South Dakota.
In Watertown there were some heavy hearts that took the floor.
Sioux Falls Christian played Harrisburg in the first game Thursday.
The chargers were without their teammate, Alyssa Vollmer, who was killed in a car crash a few weeks ago.
But she was anything but forgotten by her team and the charger cheering section.
Players and fans donned lime green t-shirts with Alyssa’s initials on the front.
Sioux Falls Christian gave the number one-seeded tigers all they could handle, but Harrisburg edged them out to advance to the semis Friday night.
