A new change in ticket sales for the Summit League Tournament is allowing fans to purchase their tickets for next year's games even earlier.
Long lines of fans stretched outside the ticket booth at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on Friday where fans were able to purchase their 2014 Summit League Tickets 24 hours earlier than last year. Until this year people couldn't purchase tickets until the Saturday of the tournament, but sales started earlier this year so people could enjoy this game and not have to wait in line.
“I had talked to a lot of fans that had made plans weeks in advance when we made the announcement to be here starting at at least 7 A.M. so I know people were prepared for this,” said Wes Hall, Executive Director of the Sioux Falls Sports Authority.
However, some fans arrived even earlier to guarantee themselves a ticket.
“I've never gotten closer than 9 (in line). Next year I'll be here before 6:30 A.M. It's dumb. It's really dumb, but I'll be here,” said David Rusten of Brookings.
Officials say an all session pass for 2014 will cost you about $115.
