SD Accident Hospitalizes Four People

Four people are in the hospital following an accident off Interstate 29, Sunday.
The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office took a call just before five p.m. Sunday regarding a jackknifed semi blocking both south bound lanes on I-29 near the Castlewood exit.
Two other accidents took place near the jackknifed semi where four people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Interstate 29 was shut down for a few hours until the semi was removed from the roadway.
The conditions at the time were blowing snow with poor visibilities and icy conditions.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Hamlin County Sheriff's Office are investigating the accidents.
