The mother of the three children, who died in a Sioux Falls fire last December, is facing six additional charges.
Rhiannon White, who is 34, has been indicted on six misdemeanor counts of contributing to the abuse or neglect of a child. She turned herself in Monday on the new charges and was released.
These new charges are in addition to two previous counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance.
Authorities say White tested positive for methamphetamine, ecstasy and marijuana when she was taken to the emergency room after the fire. White and her husband escaped with minor injuries by jumping from a second-floor window.
The December 22nd fatal fire took the lives of White's three children, Michael Hensley, who was 16, Savannah Coon, who was 12, and Alivia Coon, who was 6.
Officials could not confirm the cause of the fire because the damage was so extensive.
