SF Standoff Ends Safely

Thursday night, the Sioux Falls Police Department received information that Kent Davidson, age 36, might be in the Sioux Falls Area.

The DCI is conducting a death investigation near Chamberlain, and Davidson is a person of interest. Through investigation, police along with assistance from the Minnehaha County Sheriffs Office, and local DCI agents were able to determine that Davidson was at an apartment in in the 500 Block of W. 16th Street.

Because Davidson is considered armed and dangerous, the Sioux Falls Police Department SWAT Team was activated as well and responded to the residence.

The standoff ended safely after two hours. Police say Davidson is now is custody
