Rescue crews say they plan to suspend the search for Lyle Eagle Tail at 8 p.m. Friday.
Officials say Eagle Tail jumped in the Big Sioux River at Falls Park Thursday night to try and rescue a boy who had either fallen into the water or the foam from the falls. Officials say Garrett Wallace was able to get back on shore and was not injured.
The 6-year-old boy's sister, Madison Wallace, also jumped into the water.
Wallace's body was recovered about 1:30 p.m. on Friday. She was 16-years-old and from Vermillion.
If crews do not find Eagle Tail's body by 8 p.m. Friday, they will resume the search Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
