A man is in custody Tuesday morning after leading police on a chase with his truck and then crashing into a Sioux Falls home.
Todd Arnold Tronson, is charged with 1 felony account of aggravated eluding, DWI, reckless driving and no proof of insurance.
It started just after midnight but ended on the 3200 block of East 18th Street.
Police said the driver was first sighted for reckless driving on East 10th street, but when officers tried to pull him over he refused. After, Tronson sped by two cars, the pursing officer slowed down and turned off his siren and lights. According to information officer Sam Clemens, officers do this in hopes of the suspect slowing down when they realize they are no longer being pursued. The officer was able to follow Tronson at a safe distance.
Officials say Tronson then lost control, went over a curb, and hit two trees before hitting two parked vehicles and the garage at the home on East 18th.
Tronson had to be pulled out of the window of his 1989 Chevrolet Silverado.
