Brayden Carlson A Day Before The NCAA Tourney

Mark Ovenden: We're here with Brayden Carlson and Brayden, I've got to say, the make up of your team amazes me with how cool you guys seem.

Brayden Carlson: We're definitely a fun group of guys. We're all unselfish players and it kind of comes of the floor as well.

Mark Ovenden: Having been in this kind of environment many many times. Not just the NCAA last year but you played some big time opponents. Is it a lot easier each time you do it? So, that this isn't as big of a deal.

Brayden Carlson: It is. And from being at the NCAA tournament last year this whole experience since we won the Summit League Tournament this year, has kind of been all business and not so much fun this year.

Mark Ovenden: And as you look at the potential pairings, I know I did, of all the pairings, I just hope they don't have to play on Michigan's home floor. Can that be used as a motivation?

Brayden Carlson: Just knowing that it's going to be use against 20,000 fans, it's going to be a big advantage for them. But, at the same time we know we have a lot of SDSU fans here and we came here to win a game. And we're going to get that done.

Mark Ovenden: I'm also guessing you'll also have all the Michigan State fans on your side.

Brayden Carlson: We will. We've heard a lot of fans walking around in Michigan this week since we got here. Who've been saying, "who you guys playing?" I'm playing Michigan. "I'm a Michigan State fan. GO Michigan State."

Mark Ovenden: One last question before I let you go. Being a Brookings kid does that make it more special?

Brayden Carlson: It does. Everybody in the community feeds off of SDSU. Any time SDSU has success the whole community feels it. So being apart of that is a really big deal for me.

Mark Ovenden: alright Brayden Carlson, one of the Jackrabbits ready to go for tomorrow nights game against the Wolverine's of Michigan right here at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
