Seekamp was named MVP of the Summit League Tournament, White River boys won their 2nd consecutive title and the Jackrabbit men and women put on their dancing shoes...all in this edition of your Scheels Plays of the Week.
We'll start off our countdown at the Sioux Falls Arena. USD's Nicole Seekamp fed a no-look pass to Lisa Loeffler for the easy 2. Seekamp was the women's MVP in the Summit League tournament.
Continuing on to number four. South Central's Tyler Frank had this nice behind-the-back pass to teammate Sam Hazen. The Cougars defeated Potter County 64 to 54.
Number three took us to the State 'B' Tournament in Aberdeen. In the final seconds, James Valley Christian's Adam Hofer hit the '3' at the buzzer sending the game into overtime, all in a losing effort as James Valley Christian fell to Viborg/Hurley 55 to 47.
Coming in at number two is Boys State Basketball. The White River boys won their 2nd consecutive title and three Madison Bulldogs scored in double-figures edging Tea Area. Also, Pierre won its first title since 1982.
And finally, at number one, is SDSU men and women's basketball. Katie Lingle dribbled across the lane and shot the ball off the glass for 2. The Jackrabbits took the lead for good defeating the Yotes 56-53. Also, Nate Wolters knocked down 27 points and was named MVP of the tournament as the Jacks defeated NDSU 73 to 67. And those are your Scheels Plays of the Week.
