Augie Women Reflect On Historic Season

Bookmark and Share

SAN ANTONIO, TX --  The end of the greatest season in Augustana women's basketball history was still difficult to take for the Vikings.

After initially going back and forth with Dowling College (NY) Augie's shooting woes (26.9 percent) caught up with them, leading Dowling to a 76-54 win in the NCAA Division 2 Final Four.

The loss put a sour end to the program's greatest season.  Augustana went 28-7, capturing their first ever NSIC and Region championships.  In their first game at the Elite 8 the Vikings upset 32-0 top seed Clayton State.
