Twins bats come alive against Detroit

The Twins got another solid start from another new pitcher, this time Mike Pelfrey and this he was rewarded with a victory at Target Field Thursday. Minnesota is 8-1 when Josh Willingham and Trevor Plouffe home in the same game. They did just that rallying the team from a 2-0 deficit to take a 1-run lead into the 8th. That's when the bats came alive scoring 5 time. Rookie Aaron Hicks' 1st major league hit knocked in 2 runs as the Twins went on to win 8-2, taking the rubber game of the series.
