Bond has been set at $50,000 for a man accused of setting fire to a three-story house in Aberdeen with five people inside.
Twenty-one-year-old Isaiah Barse is charged with arson, burglary and reckless burning. Authorities allege he started a bag of garbage on fire in the home's entryway early Saturday following a fight involving his roommate. The fire spread and prosecutors say the five people were lucky to get out alive.
Barses' attorney said in court Monday that alcohol was involved in the incident and that her client does not have a history of felony crimes.
Barse could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted. He is due back in court on April 18.
