A Sioux Falls man who was intoxicated says he doesn't remember the robbery and standoff he is suspected of initiating on his 21st birthday.
Local media report that Martine Luis Moreno is charged with first-degree robbery, aggravated assault and interference with emergency communication and possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated. His bond has been set at $50,000 cash.
Authorities say Moreno entered a convenience store with .22 caliber handgun on Saturday and demanded money from the owner. When the owner said he didn't have any, Moreno allegedly pointed the gun at customers and demanded money.
When officers arrived, an hour long standoff took place before Moreno surrendered.
