When these rabbits ride horses....
.....they aren't shy about showing their northern pride to their mostly southern equestrian opponents.
"We tend to yell remarks for cheering wise that are northern. (Like What?) We tend to try and exemplify the O's any way we can." Laura Dunlavy says.
The SDSU equestrian team has done more than cheer. They've won, and been ranked as high as ninth in the nation.
"it's been a great season this year. Last year I felt it was a building year for us. We had some great wins this year. Quite a few more than last year and, you know, it was really a high point when we beat the University of Georgia which was, at one time during the season, ranked number one team." Coach Megan Rossiter says.
And the Jacks will take that new found confidence into this weekends nationals at Waco Texas.
"We've come a long way with Coach Rossiter coaching us. And both the first teams we face we've already faced them this year and we've held our own. So we're very excited about the teams we're competing against." Dunlavy says.
"We had more talent on the team last year than the team necessarily realized. So I think they've realized that this year and it's making them a little bit stronger." Rossiter says.
Talent they think the rest of the country will realize this weekend.
